The tournament is a closed 9 rounds Swiss, held by Offerspill Chess Club in the city center of Oslo, Pilestredet 10, 21-29 August.
Due to certain Covid-19 restrictions, there will be max 50 players and no spectators.  

Participation

If you wish to participate, send an email to offerspill.invitational@offerspill.no. We can not guarentee participation.

In order to make the tournament title qualification eligble, 20 spots are reserved for non-Norwegians.
Due to the Covid-19 situation make sure you can travel to Norway without restrictions/quarenteen.The travel regulations are being updated regularly so stay updated.

Covid-19 regulations

The current pandemic situation requires certain regulations from the organizers and players. 
We follow the Norwegian authorities and Chess Federations guidelines and required regulations.

As organizers we can guarentee:
-  An "infectious controller" to be present during the whole tournament
- A tidy playing venue
- At least 1 meter distance between all players
- Cleaned boards, pieces and clocks

As players you should: 
- Not shake hands before or after the game
- Not come to the playing venue in case of any sickness
- Not eat in the playing area 
- Demonstrate very good hygiene
