Location Archbishop's Palace in Trondheim, Norway
Nordic Championship The Nordic Championship will be integrated into the main tournament, with separate prizes awarded to Nordic champions in both the men's and women's categories. The Nordic Senior Championship (50+ and 65+) will be held as a separate event, requiring a minimum of 20 participants.

Exceptions The Norwegian Chess Federation (NSF) does not permit players from Russia or Belarus, competing under their respective national flags or FIDE flags, in Norwegian tournaments. Inquiries regarding this matter should be addressed directly to the NSF.
Arrival On the day the tournament begins, participants can register their physical attendance either online or, if needed, in person at the secretariat.

General info Individual tournament with opportunities for WIM, WGM, IM and GM norms.
Format FIDE Dutch Swiss, accelerated (not accelerated in Nordic Senior), 9 rounds
Fairplay The tournament is conducted in accordance with FIDE's regulations. All participants commit to following guidelines that the tournament management deems necessary to prevent and counteract cheating.
Appeals Committee The Appeals Committee will be appointed before the first round.
Agreed bye It is possible to arrange for a bye (draw) worth 0.5 points, two times during the first 6 rounds, as long as at least 1 of these is in the first 2 rounds. This must be agreed upon in writing before the start of round 1 of the tournament and does not apply to players receiving support for travel, accommodation, or entry fees from the event.
Attendanse Any player arriving at the chessboard later than 60 minutes after the start of the session will forfeit the game unless the arbiter decides otherwise. The session commences in accordance with the tournament schedule.
Time Control 90 minutes/ 40 moves + 30 minutes/ rest of the game, with 30 seconds increment from move 1.
